On Dec 21, 2017, the 92nd Infantry Division Buffalo Soldiers WWII Association Alabama Chapter, spearheaded a project called 'Operation Overload”. The purpose of this mission Is to make the public aware of the deplorable conditions at the Cemetery. To date we have located and marked, with an American flag, 510+ veterans including WWI and WWII Buffalo Soldiers, Tuskegee Airmen, Korea, Vietnam, and Gulf War Veterans interred there. We have found the headstones of eight young men KIA in Vietnam, they are listed on The Wall in Washington, D.C. There has never been an American flag flown over this Cemetery. We are honoring a 98 year old widow of a Tuskegee Airman, Sgt Milton Dais, US Army, who served in France during WWII.
